LAKOTA

Lakota is the latest addition to SPPHA_ACT is now owned by Niki. He is a lovely big man and with the right care and training will be a wonderful boy for riding and loving. He is a lovely boy in good condition.

Niki writes: Lakota who is a real sweetheart, and I love him to bits.  He is a big boy at 16 and a half hands or big to me for my first horse. Lovely natured man with a cheeky streak! I'll look forward to a long and happy life with him as part of our family.

BERT

We want to welcome the handsome "Smooth Bert" as our newest member of the SPPHA_ACT family. Bert was rescued from Bathurst and has gone to a lovely new home with Jean. This is what Jean had to say:

Just writing to you, in a great state of excitement, to let you know that I picked Smooth Bert up today. Tonight he is safely tucked up in a large pipe yard with a big shelter, rugged, drenched and eating hay.

I am delighted with him and it was lovely to meet his trainer - who did his teeth for me and got his son to sit on his back.

I have included two photos that were taken as I picked him up and I will keep you informed of his progress.

Thanks a million for your help and for finding me such a treasure so quickly.

This makes it all worthwhile for SPPHA_ACT. Certainly warms the heart.

Bert with his new mum Jean, and a start of a new life.

Our Welfare officer ran into Jean and Bert recently while at the Harden Horse Trials Assocation Cross Country training day. Bert has started undersaddle and certainly looks like a million dollars all done up. Jean has been working with Bert, lunging, trot pole work and general ground manners.  He is currently is learning that water isn't such a scary thing and it is OK to go into it (although Jean has to go in too, boots and all).

Marty is enjoying life with his new mum Pieta at Bredbo.  Marty has a new family and a new brother "Nick". Marty still has some problems with his knee, but Pieta is seeking help to try get him get better.

LUCY   - (S2990285)

Lucy is now living with Lynn in Tharwa. Lucy is coming along in leaps and bounds.

She is happy and loving life. Lucy is a very pretty little girl (I think she knows it).

FINN - (s2031538)

Finn has found a new home with Kerry and is having the time of his life at Bellmount Forest.

WOW!! Look at Finn after just 4 weeks of love and attention. Finn is playful, happy and

certainly thinks he should be the centre of attention. He can't get enough back scratches.

BEFORE (second day with SPPHA)

AFTER (4 weeks later - OH YEAH, a little more to the left)

KAISER (S2990078)

Kaiser has found a loving home with Yolanda. He has started under saddle and life couldn't be

better at Sutton.

SPPHA_ACT would like to thank our Adoptees.

Without your care and love, these beautiful horses

would have a dismil future.
