Young Horse Training Course - Exetar Farm

Yolanda took Karby to a young horse training course and had a ball. Karby was good for the majority of the day until things got a little tougher and then he acted like a naughty teenager. All part of the learning , but the more he does the better he will be. Great to see Yolanda out with her boy having fun and teaching him something new.

Trevor Morris Showjumping Clinic

How exciting it is too see one of our newest members Jean with her boy Smooth Bert out and about. Jean has sent photos of them together at the Trevor Morris Clinic. This is what Jean has written to SPPHA_ACT.

Bert and I are getting on well.  We went to a Trevor Morris school a month ago and he coped beautifully, even with the cantering down a line of jumps with no hands on the reins!  He is still full of personality and very cheeky.  I am very proud of my boy and I would not swap him for quids despite his big spooks.

Harden HTA - Cross Country Training Day

Cass and Balavan went to the Harden HTA Cross Country Training Day. The weather started out foggy and a little dodgy, but came good late in the morning. Balavan is progressing wonderfully in his jumping and is now clearing 75cm comfortably. There were 2 water jumps on the course and Balavan was not so sure about water but with some coaxing and wet feet by Cass's mum, he discovered it wasn't that scary and by the last 2 cross country rounds he was happily going through them without any hassles.

Harden is a wonderful place for beginners and experienced riders alike. So if you are looking for a fun introduction to ODE's or just want to have a go, think about attending a Harden event. Most events are not timed and you can spend as much time at one jump as you like until you get it right. Rules and regulations do apply and also there are fees (which vary), but it is well worth a go.
